The Fellowship at Bend ("TFAB", "we") is a church in Bend, Oregon. This page explains what personal information we collect through tfab.com and the other tools we use to run the church, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions? What we collect

  • Website forms. When you contact us, sign up to serve or ask to join a Community Group, we keep what you send: your name, your email address, and anything else you choose to tell us, such as the teams that interest you, the part of town you live in, the days that work for you or a little about your family.

  • Email. If you subscribe to The Loop, our weekly email, we keep your name and email address.

  • Text messages. If you sign up for texts, we keep your mobile number and the groups you pick.

  • Giving, registrations and groups. Online giving, event registration and group sign-ups happen in Church Center, run by Planning Center, which stores what you enter there for us. Card and bank details are handled by Planning Center's payment processor; we never see your full card number.

  • Website visits. Like most websites, our host, Squarespace, automatically records basic technical information such as your IP address, browser and the pages you visit, and uses cookies to keep the site working and to give us visitor statistics.

How we use it

We use your information to reply to you, connect you with a team or group, send the updates you asked for, process gifts and registrations, care for your children while they're with us, and keep the website secure. We don't sell, rent or trade personal information, and we don't share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Text messages

If you text JOIN to 833-500-4388 or sign up for texts another way, we use your number only to send TFAB updates for the groups you picked. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop, or HELP for help. We never share or sell your mobile number or your consent to receive texts to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Who helps us

A few service providers handle information for us, only to provide their service: Squarespace (this website and its forms), Mailchimp (The Loop), Planning Center (our church database, giving, registrations and groups) and Gloo (text messages). If you interact with us on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube or Spotify, those companies' own privacy policies apply there. We may also share information when the law requires it or to keep someone safe.

Photos and video

We photograph and record our gatherings and events, and share some of it on our screens, this website, our podcast and our social media. If you'd rather not appear, tell anyone at the Welcome Table or email us, and we'll keep you out of what we share. We only post a recognizable photo of a child when a parent or guardian has given permission, and we never post a child's full name, tag them, or say where they live or go to school. Ask us to take something down and we'll remove it from the channels we control within 14 days.

Children

This website isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them online. Information about children, for example on a permission form, comes from their parents or guardians and is used only to care for them.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from The Loop with the link at the bottom of every email, and stop texts by replying STOP. To see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, email info@tfab.com and we'll respond within 30 days. We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the reason you gave it to us, or as the law requires.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no website or online service is completely secure.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
